Warning! None of the Dog Men books are by Jim Butcher. While I knew it was a graphic novel, I didn't realize it wasn't written by Butcher. I had gotten the complete story all in one and about three pages in I realized there was something wrong. This wasn't Jim Butcher's writing. I went back and checked. Sure enough, it's written by Mark Powers. It turns out, it's "based on characters by Jim Butcher". Powers, it turns out is a well known comic writer. Unfortunately, I wasn't looking for a comic book. I was expecting a graphic novel by one of my favorite writers. If I was in my early to mid teens I'd probably love this. To bad, I'm 67 and grew up on Stan Lee. Next time I'll know enough to check the author even if I think I know what's going on. They really should make it known in a better way that the original author didn't write the book.
