The Bible always was, at the same time, a very intriguing text to me - but also confusing and conflicting at the same time. Even when people much more knowlegeable about the Bible would try to explain parts of it to me - I still wouldn’t be convinced by their explanations, such as “God works in mysterious ways” - ummm, thats not an explanation, its an avoidance. In this book the author reveals some very good reasons why the bible may be confusing and conflicting, and thanks to his “untangling” of some of the contradictions in the bible, I feel much more comfortable with it. I just hope he continues with his work, and does not get pressured to stop. I’m sure theres alot of people who don’t like the conclusions he has come to.
